Ateq EVB5100

ATEQ EVB5100 automatic battery module balanser uses the most efficient technologies to check the charge status and equalize voltage differences between individual modules in electric vehicle batteries.

The ATEQ EVB5100 balanser is designed for rework stations in battery module production lines and electric vehicle assembly lines. It can also be used in research laboratories, for battery repairs or recycling used modules.

Wide operation range and customization capabilities make the ATEQ EVB5100 balanser compatible with all EV/HEV batteries available on the market.

What is a battery module balanser?

Electric vehicle motors are powered by electricity that is drawn from a special battery placed inside the vehicle. Each battery consists of modules, and these are made up of individual battery cells (f.ex. Li-Ion).

Electric vehicle batteries require an appropriate level of charge to operate optimally and are very sensitive to overcharging, discharging, overheating or overloading. An improperly conducted charging or discharging process can lead to reduced performance, permanent damage to the battery, and even pose a threat. Therefore, individual cells and battery modules in electric vehicles are constantly monitored by a Battery Management System (BMS).

When installing modules into a new electric vehicle battery or replacing a faulty module, all modules must be balanced (charged or discharged) to have exactly the same charge level as the others.
